Alliance Enterprises Announces Microsoft to Sponsor the GetAwareLive 2017 Workforce and Vocational Rehabilitation Conference
The Northwest software companies share a commitment to software development, cloud technology and a passion for making work more accessible for people with disabilities.
Alliance Enterprises, Inc. (Alliance) announced today that Microsoft will sponsor Alliance’s GetAwareLive 2017 conference this summer, which aims to improve and widen work opportunities for people with disabilities. The not-for-profit event brings together vocational rehabilitation (VR), disability advocacy and workforce professionals from across the country on July 26-27 in Dallas. It’s expected to be the broadest gathering of industry professionals in 2017.
Alliance is the nation’s leading provider of case management, analytics and cloud services for rehabilitation service providers throughout the United States. Alliance’s Aware software is used by 38 state VR agencies, 24 tribal nations and more than 12,000 VR professionals to help disabled persons find and maintain meaningful work. Alliance is a triple gold-certified Microsoft partner, and was named in 2016 as Microsoft’s Rising Star partner of the year in the government sector.
“Microsoft is a perfect partner for this conference given their strong reputation and active participation in developing a more inclusive workplace for people with disabilities,” said Alliance Enterprises CEO, Chris M. Pieper. “We’re thrilled to have their participation and their support.”
The summer conference, called GetAwareLive 2017 after the company’s software, features keynote presentations from Janet LaBreck, Commissioner of the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) from 2013 to 2016, Scott B. Sanders, the Executive Director of the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) and Sally Hogshead, New York Times bestselling author, Hall of Fame speaker and chief executive officer of Fascinate, Inc.
The conference schedule features best-practices presentations, software demonstrations, panel discussions and training opportunities on timely topics like the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), rehabilitation practices and emerging cloud technologies.
“Alliance is a valued partner in the State and Local Government space, and we’re honored to sponsor and participate at their event this summer,” said Microsoft’s Kunal Tanwar, Principal Azure Solution Specialist. “It will be a great opportunity to meet with industry leaders in Dallas and to discuss how Microsoft can continue to support their technology efforts in ways that work for them.”
