Accounting Manager

We are looking for an individual to prepare standard and specialized financial reports (e.g. balance sheets, income statements) according to Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP); perform financial analyses to summarize current and projected organization financial position; and make recommendations regarding methods and procedures to improve accounting processes.  This position is a management level position with the additional responsibility of supervising other Accounting Team members.

Essential Functions

Accounting Management 

  • Manage general ledger 
  • Review and generate financial statements and reports
  • Review past and create upcoming quarterly budgets
  • Assist 3rd party auditor to ensure timely completion 

 

Sales and Contract Support 

  • Collaborate within cross-department team to create and document new contracts in CRM
  • Monitor case and milestone entries in CRM 
  • Review Costing Workbooks for Sales & Sales Support
  • Assist with change requests, calculating costs and invoice schedule revisions
  • Review for accuracy prior to customer presentation  

People Management 

  • Direct the team to meet the goals set and monitor the development and implementation of initiatives.  
  • Conduct day-to-day supervision, performance reviews, coaching and mentoring of employees.

 

Qualifications Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of regulatory agencies reporting requirements.
  • Skilled in math applications and accounting formulations.

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Work is accomplished indoors with some local travel infrequently.  
  • Typical office machinery is used often. Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer terminal.  
  • Must be able to ambulate from one location to another, communicate clearly with others through a variety of methods, directly and electronically.
